ASM Thermal Spray Society Announces Student Board Member Program
May 14th, 2008 | by admin |The ASM Thermal Spray Society Board has unanimously approved the creation of a TSS Student Board Member Program as recommended by the TSS Nominating Committee, chaired by Rick Knight of Drexel University.
The program and Board Mentor Guidelines are modeled after the ASM Board of Trustees Student Member Program. TSS is looking for two student members to serve during the program’s first year. Candidates must be a registered undergraduate or graduate student during the 2009-2010 academic year studying or researching in an area closely related to the field of thermal spray technology.

Applications will be reviewed by the TSS Nominating Committee, which will forward recommendations to the TSS Executive Committee for approval. Nominations are due no later than April 1, 2009. The two selected participants will be notified by May 1, 2009 and will each begin their nonrenewable and non-voting, one-year term as Student Representatives to the TSS Board of Directors, at the spring 2009 TSS Board meeting in Las Vegas.
