On RCN Resolution To Fully Implement Nice Fertility Guidance, UK
May 15th, 2008 | by admin |Clare Brown Chief Executive of Infertility Network UK and Chair of the National Infertility Awareness Campaign (NIAC) said ‘I am delighted that the RCN have overwhelmingly supported this resolution.
The fertility nurses probably have more contact with patients than anyone and are best placed to understand the impact which infertility has on the lives of those affected. Their support is vital both in the campaign for fair and equitable treatment which both I N UK and NIAC lead and in the support which patients need. Four years on from the NICE Guideline it is totally unacceptable that patients are still facing inequalities in eligibility criteria and being denied treatment and we will continue to work with the RCN and other organisations to ensure patients receive the treatment they deserve’
