IMIX Americas Adds 17-Inch Detector To Its Digital Radiography Product Line

IMIX Americas Inc., a provider of innovative digital radiography (DR) systems, announced that it has expanded its product line with the addition of an industry-leading 17-inch by 17-inch field of view detector. The new detector was introduced at the company’s spring dealer event June 12 and is available immediately.
Providing greater flexibility for clinicians and technologists, the detector accommodates most patient sizes and is ideal for imaging applications requiring full anatomical coverage. Based on the company’s innovative detector technology, the enhanced detector features the same high image quality and reliability as the 16-inch model.
Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen, president and chief executive officer of IMIX Americas, said the introduction of the new detector reflects the company’s commitment to continually improving its products. “IMIX is adding the 17-inch detector to address customer and patient needs and to improve workflow,” Smitt-Jeppesen said. “The new detector provides a larger field of view, which reduces cut-off of images. Furthermore, because the new IMIX detector provides 17-inch by 17-inch coverage as opposed to the film or CR standard of 17-inch by 14-inch, the technologist does not have to rotate cassettes or panels to achieve the full 17-inch coverage.”
In addition to unveiling the new 17-inch detector, IMIX also recently opened a new showroom and staging facility at its corporate headquarters. According to Smitt-Jeppesen, the facility is part of the company’s commitment to exceptional customer service. “Pre-staging each system in the new facility ensures smooth installation, with as little down time as possible for customers,” she said.
The showroom, which features IMIX DR products in a non-clinical environment, showcases the IMIXinsight™ PanoRAD, a universal, full-function digital radiography system offering a small footprint and innovative stand design that allow for maximum flexibility, and the IMIXinsight™ NovoRAD, which provides the flexibility of a dual-detector room with just one detector. IMIX Americas also introduced an exclusive line of mobile and fixed radiographic tables, which are available for immediate delivery. These also are available for demonstration at the newly unveiled showroom.
